Education/Experience:
At age thirteen, Julie Potter, owner of Tame Your Mane, gave me an opportunity to fulfill my dream of being in the cosmetology industry. I was an assistant for four years, and a Stylist since 2002 at Tame Your Mane. During my time as an assistant, I graduated from Central High School and Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center. I have attended several national hair shows and hands-on-hair events such as: Matric, Redken, Logics, TIGI, and Wella Color Academy. However, that doesn’t stop me from also attending all of the in-house classes held here, at Tame Your Mane. I’m always looking for ways to improve my styling techniques.
I love making everyone who sits in my chair feel good about themselves and improve their self-confidence. I’ve always had a strong interest and love for colors and individual styles that show off unique personalities. So when talking to my clients about what their goal is for themselves, I want to create something new, something different, and something specialized just for them.
Outside of the salon, I enjoy spending time with my family at home or taking long vacations and making family memories is very important to me. I also love landscaping, gardening, taking walks with my Golden Retriever, Bocephus, and spending time with my daughter Raylynn Nicole and son Weston Micheal.Tame Your Mane has been the only employer I have ever worked for, and I wouldn’t change career paths or salons for the world! It’s what I do and who I am. I am proud to be a Stylist at Tame Your Mane! Who knows, Raylynn just might just be the next generation at Tame Your Mane!
