Kid’s Day at Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts/Arts Fest is happening Wednesday, July 8 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM in downtown State College. There’ll be tons of fun activities all around town throughout the day, but the festivities culminate at 4:00 PM with the Children and Youth Day Grand Procession on Old Main Lawn. To join in the fun, the Tame Your Mane State College team will be face painting from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM on the patio of Gift Adventures (at the corner of Beaver Ave and Pugh St).

Face painting is a great way for kids to express themselves and stand out in the crowd… AND… All proceeds we take in from face painting will be donated to Centre County PAWS. Our friend Chris Faust, who is the Director of Development and Marketing for PAWS, will be on site from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with one of the animals needing a forever home.

And for those pet parents out there, any person who likes or follows TYM on a social media site on Wednesday will be entered to receive a custom Penn State dog bed that we’ll be raffling off.*

Our face painting services for kids will cost $5 – $10 depending on the design chosen by the child. And in addition to a stellar face painting style, each child will receive a cute mini sleeping bag stuffed with toy cat or dog as a “thank you” for their donation. Also during this special event, if parents purchase a haircut for a kid 10 and under, then that child will receive a free mini sleeping bag with toy,¬†too.

And lastly, if any adults purchase a manicure or pedicure while the Kids Day event is going on, we’ll be offering FREE manicures or pedicures for their kids who are 10 and under.

So mark your calendars, and plan on stopping by!
